PROJECT DETAILS

The 16” pipeline connection to Mount Union and Plainfield pump stations. Complete connections from an existing 16” line involved installing a pre-fabricated pig receiver and launcher. Installing instruments, associated piping systems, motorized operated valves (MOV’s), pipe supports, prover skids, meters, and RTU enclosures. The project also included excavation, grading, perimeter fencing and gates, rock removal, grading, concrete foundations, support blocks and piers.

All welding was completed utilizing B31.3 downhill welding specification including specified x-ray requirements. The crew consisted of 6 men working 60-hour weeks for project completion on this face-paced schedule, safely without incidents, protecting client personnel, the XL crew and the environment. The new equipment and connection are ready for operation.
